Fees & Charges

This page explains the fees and charges that may apply when you use Bitsimple. We aim to be clear and transparent about how we earn revenue and how costs are presented to you.

1. Contribution (service) fees

Each automated contribution you make may be subject to a service fee. The applicable fee is clearly shown before you confirm or update a Pot and before any contribution is processed.

Service fees help cover the costs of operating the platform, including payment processing, compliance, security, infrastructure, and customer support.

2. Exchange pricing and spreads

Bitcoin purchases are executed through third-party trading partners. The price you receive may include a spread or margin applied by the trading venue or liquidity provider.

We do not control market prices. Indicative prices shown before execution are for guidance only and may differ from the final execution price.

3. Payment processing fees

Some payment methods may involve additional charges imposed by payment providers (for example, card processing or bank fees). Where applicable, these will be disclosed before you confirm a payment.

We do not control fees charged directly by your bank or card issuer.

4. Network and withdrawal fees

When you transfer or withdraw Bitcoin, blockchain network (โ€œminerโ€) fees may apply. These fees are set by the Bitcoin network and vary based on congestion and demand.

Any applicable network or withdrawal fees are displayed before you confirm a transfer.

5. Failed payments, reversals, and chargebacks

If a payment fails, is reversed, or is charged back after a contribution has been attempted, you may be responsible for any resulting costs or fees imposed by payment providers.

We may suspend contributions or restrict account functionality until outstanding amounts are resolved.

6. Refunds, corrections, and disputes

If you believe a fee or charge has been applied incorrectly, please contact support with the relevant transaction details as soon as possible.

We will review the issue and, where appropriate, apply a correction or refund. Refunds are handled in accordance with our Terms of Service and payment partner rules.

7. Changes to fees

We may update our fees from time to time. If fees change, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance. Updated fees apply to future contributions and transactions only.

Summary

You will always see applicable fees before confirming an action. If something does not look right, contact support before proceeding.
